Accessibility Statement

The Potions Cauldron Group makes every effort to ensure that their attractions and retail outlets are accessible for as many visitors as possible.

However due to the location and nature of some of our buildings there maybe some challenges for some visitors with; disabilities, medical and access needs. The Potions Cauldron Group is in line with the Equality Act 2010.

We are committed to making sure that were possible every visitors has an enjoyable and safe visit, should any visitor have any issues or concerns and it is not answered below we recommend emailing the following, where a member of the team will be happy to help.

Find Us / Parking

We are located on the Promenade between the North Pier and the Blackpool Tower, we also have an entrance on Bank Hey Street. The nearest car park with access spaces is Houndshill Shopping Centre, it has access spaces on every level. It also has a lift for easier access.

Wheelchair and Mobility Scooters

We are located on one floor, we recommend that those with access needs enter and exit via our Bank Hey Street entrance as there are 4 steps on the promenade entrance.

Wheelchair users can access every area of the course and we also have extendable wands (Clubs).

Unfortunately Mobility Scooters are not permitted and guests must be able to transfer into our wheelchair.

Carers

Carers are free at the Hole in Wand Blackpool, please bring proof with you which can be an carer card or similar, we understand not everyone will have one.

Should a carer wish to play they will need to purchase a standard ticket. 

PLEASE NOTE - Carers are only complimentry if assisting someone to enjoy the experience should they wish to experience themselves a ticket must be purchased. 

Toilets

We have an accessible toilet located on the ground floor in the middle of the course. It is fitted with a red cord which should be activated in case of emergency.

Guide & Assistant Dogs

We welcome all guide and assistance dogs into the venue, should you require a water and bowl please just ask a member of the team.

Autism

We provide ear defenders at all times as we play a soundtrack specifically made for the venue and the golf balls can sometimes bang. We also have specific mornings where we offer a quiet hour, please see social media for the latest dates and / or our events page. 

We also have sensory bags for should you need these - they are available to lend whilst you are playing golf. We also have a visual story downloadable here HIWB Visual Story 2023 

Seating

We have seating in our tavern area and benches throughout the course. Should you require a seat anywhere else in the venue please ask the staff for our mobile seat.

Staff Training

We are currently training all staff on Welcome to Excellences’ training course ‘Welcoming All’ this will provide our team with greater tools in welcoming guest with specific and additional needs.

Dementia Friends 

Our staff are undertaking training to become Dementia Friends.
